Timber
At Albannach Carpentry we believe that using locally sourced native wood, such as Oak, Elm, Birch and Ash is key to making stunning furniture.
We have the great advantage that we can mill and supply the majority of our wood giving us greater control on quality. We only choose the best pieces of wood for our furniture.
Our way of harvesting the timber is very sustainable. We only use storm damaged and dead trees, entering the forest on foot without the use of heavy machinery. Using our own portable mill to harvest what we need, means we leave the forest barely untouched and free from damage.
As for our painted kitchens and furniture we use Tulipwood which is imported in coordination with the FSC and PEFC schemes and relevant standards.
